Aiming for Prevention International Initiatives

IPPNW launched its Aiming for Prevention campaign in September 2001 at the first International Medical Conference on Small Arms, Gun Violence held in Helsinki, Finland. Since then, physicians and public health professionals have been documenting the devastating human impact of small arms, educating key stakeholders and advocating policy reform. International initiatives have included participation in the following events and networks:
