IPPNW Peace House

Giving a Legacy to Our Students: IPPNW's Capital Campaign for a Permanent Home

Together, we can leave an inheritance to our successors. . . the security of a permanent home - an IPPNW Peace House - for the next generation!

Over the course of more than three decades, IPPNW has created a powerful legacy in the struggle for a more peaceful, nuclear weapon-free world. Our medical message that prevention is the only cure continues to unite physicians, medical students, and concerned citizens from around the world, transcending national borders and political ideology. The mission is clear and strong, and there can be no doubt that IPPNW’s medical voice will be needed for generations to come.

Since IPPNW’s founding in 1980, our head office has needed to move seven times to find suitable, reasonably-priced rental space in the Boston area, including our most recent in May 2016. Frequent relocation is expensive and disruptive. And those lease payments never stop – IPPNW could have purchased two to three properties outright by now.

It is time to invest in a secure and sustainable future. Time to move forward from tenancy to ownership – “To have one´s feet under our own table,” as the Finns say!

The idea of a permanent IPPNW Peace House has captured the imagination of many IPPNW elders and supporters. Our goal is to raise $100,000 in donations.

We invite all friends, supporters, and activists in IPPNW – especially the senior generations of our global movement – to open their hearts and purses.

Let us endow a confident future for our successors. Let us secure our legacy and collect the funds for a permanent IPPNW Peace House. Now is the time to act. We must strengthen our roots, and grow into the future!

If you would like to make a donation to the IPPNW Peace House, please send an email to Michael Christ at mchrist@ippnw.org. All donations to the IPPNW Peace House are dedicated solely to the purpose of purchasing property for a permanent home.
